“Pod Samsonem”.

Open continuously since 1958, this legendary restaurant serves Polish-Jewish cuisine in its own version. A unique place created right after the reconstruction of the Warsaw Old Town in the immediate vicinity of the Barbican gate. The interior designed by Marek Lewandowski and Marcin Stajewski (theatrical scenographers associated with the Ateneum, Sabat, and Współczesny theaters, among others) invites you to study the history reaching back centuries, presenting numerous historical memorabilia on the walls.

The dishes served by "Pod Samsonem" are a journey through Polish and Jewish flavors in an unpretentious edition. The abundance of fish appetizers and main courses distinguishes this place from not only the area, but the whole of Warsaw. Due to the wide selection of meats included in the menu, important for the local cuisine, we are not a kosher restaurant.
